The benefits teams notice include:

  • Faster, more effective decisions Robust conversation takes account of different viewpoints and leads to commitment from all team members on an agreed way forward
  • Feeling more positive and delivering better results Engagement and clear team focus lead to energised performance and better results for internal and external clients
  • Positive ripple effect The enthusiasm and success of a high performing team can send positive signals to teams throughout the wider organisation

How the Team Health Check works

Leaders and team members may know that changes could improve team performance. But the time and commitment needed can make it difficult to know where to start. Using the Team Health Check is a fast, focussed way to identify key issues and implement positive, effective change.

The THC questionnaire focuses on 8 key factors of high team performance so you can quickly analyse how your team measures up:

  • Clarity of shared direction does the team understand what success looks like?
  • Focus on Results and Outcomes is the team focussed on joint goals?
  • Courageous challenge are conversations frank and constructive?
  • Join accountability do team members take responsibility for their part?
  • Commitment does the team share purpose, energy, clarity?
  • Feeling trust is there respect, permission to ask each other for support?
  • Enabling high quality thinking is there space for new thinking that generates results?
  • Outward focus and communication does the team take relevant outside factors into account?

Your report

We send you a comprehensive report that includes your combined questionnaire results, team averages, ranges of scores and verbatim viewpoints. Alongside open discussion with team members, you will form a snapshot of the team’s strengths and weaknesses. From here, you can work out where you need to start to make changes for higher team performance and success.

Tim Haynes

I really like it. Comprehensive in the critical dimensions of team effectiveness, very simple to use and understand. I recently recommended it to one of our leadership teams - they got great value from a dialogue about improving performance based on the results.

Peter Gibson

It gave me far more clarity and made me think about things that led to a really valuable discussion. We achieved incredibly helpful outcomes in 2 ½ hours and the questionnaire really helps you to get there.

Andrea Blackman

The Team Health Check identified the issues in a very tangible sense. Our own Business Effectiveness Survey the next year improved a lot, by about 20%. For the senior leadership team, where the bulk of the work was done, it went up more than 30%, which is quite an accomplishment in such a short period of time.
